A Visual & Dramatic Interpretation of the Children of Lir tale seeks Dancer

A new production of Clann Lir, presented by Erris Arts Centre/ Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet, and Fíbín Theatre recounts the mythical story of the Children of Lir.
In collaboration with Fíbín, Erris Arts Centre, under the direction of its Artistic Director, Brendan Murray, is producing a unique show that combines art, dance, storytelling and music. A series of exciting images will be created live on stage by artist, Dara McGee, as the story of unfolds of how Finola is banished with her three brothers to spend 900 years as singing swans in three remote locations in Ireland.
Clann Lir will play in Mayo, Galway City and Connemara as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge 2017.
This fascinating piece of Irish mythology will feature award winning artist Dara McGee’s striking images as they engage with movement and magic that shapes a story of love, betrayal and redemption.
If you are a dancer (preferably with a basic fluency in Irish), Fíbín and Áras Inis Gluaire would love to hear from you. Experience as a choreographer would be of immense value.
